Stranger

Everytime I look at you, I wonder who you are
Why you matter so much to me when I barely know you?
Why do you seem so familiar and yet so distant?
And yet, you matter so much
Oh you stranger,unknown and untouched
How much I wish to talk to you
But I know that as long as I live
You will always be a mirage

Dreams

What are dreams? Whose visions are they? How different are they from reality? How powerful? Dreams may or may not be more powerful than reality, but they definitely are, amusing. Dreams are amusing, in the sense, that they are not bound by the rules of the society and of human controls. No laws of science or logic govern them. Amusing, because, they don’t care about the past, the present or the future. Yes, dreams have the potential of being more powerful than reality but that is if and only if the dreamer has the will, the desire and the ability of making them come true. How much power a man wants to impart to his dreams depends upon his desire of framing his own destiny. But men must follow their dreams with caution, because sometimes one man’s dream can turn into the nightmare for millions. When a man like Mandela or a Gandhi dreamt, they changed the world into a better place but when someone like Hitler or napoleon dreamt, it ended in disaster. Many men have died and nations being ruined in pursuit of some ego-satisfying dream of a weakling. Yes, a man who follows his dreams for his own selfish ends is a weakling who is incapable of seeing his true self in the mirror.

Justice denied

Seven months after police open fired on unarmed peaceful protestors in Maval region of Maharashtra and kills 3 and injures 9, it arrests 47 others for attempt to murder. While the protestors were farmers agitating for a water pipeline in their village, the attackers were armed policemen who opened fire at the time the protestors were returning. And not only did the policemen kill villagers, they called up others to the police station to record their statement and instead arrested them on charges of assault on police team.
Is this the criminal justice system? Is this how the government machinery works? If this is the rule, then it will be very difficult for the poor, the downtrodden to survive.
Who is there to listen to the voice of the weak? Who is there to give them justice?
This should be a wake up call for the guardians of the society to come out and stand for the weak. This is the time when one has to think beyond and come out and call for justice. Or else, one by one, the voiceless will be eliminated...

Unknown voices

Often, while walking alone the streets, I hear some whispers, some unknown voices calling out my name, telling me some secrets that I know not of. Sometimes, I hear some familiar voice but when I look around, I see no familiar face. Sometimes, the questions that I was pondering upon get answered by some unknown voice.
Who are they who whisper to me? Who are they who tell me secrets? They give me company when I am all alone and yet, they make me realize how lonely I am. And yet, though when I am lonely I know someone is there with me, looking at me, standing by my side, telling me what to do.
My companions of solitude, I know not thy name. Will you ever come up to me and tell me why you care so much for me? Will I be ever able to know, who walks with me, who talks to me? And yet I know that you will always be with me, you will always hold my hand when I need to be comforted, talk to me when I need to be answered.
Yes, my companions of solitude, I know that with you I am never alone. You are a blessing, a prayer answered. Whoever you are, you are my unknown friend with an unknown voice.
