Today is pregnancy and infant loss awareness day. I was thinking about all the beautiful babies that were lost due to miscarriage, still births, as infants or in early childhood. Birth defects, infections or accidents, the scar on the hearts of the parents cannot be healed.
Some flowers are too beautiful for this earth
Their fragrance spreads far and wide
But they are too delicate for the strong winds
Too small to protect themselves
They are a rainbow that delights
The hearts of the near and dear ones
But like a rainbow they fade away
Too soon, too soon
God takes His pretty flowers back
He takes back His delicate angels
He puts them back in the heaven
Where they cannot suffer
But they leave grieving hearts
They leave behind memories
Always loved, never forgotten
