It seems strange when something I believed in came up in front of me from the most unexpected source. An innocent discussion on the definition of love raised the issue about self love. Loving oneself does not mean being selfish or self centered. It just means that the vessel is so full that it is brimming over. The only person deserving our love is we ourself. If we cannot love ourselves then whom can we love. The only love that can be complete and pure and without any selfish reason is the love for our own selves. To love others we need to love to love ourselves first. Otherwise, everything else is incomplete, just a mirage.
